In June of this year, two notes threatening bloodshed for the summer were sent to both the police station and TV station WBRE. Later, a blood-spattered Barbie doll was sent to WBRE. When news reporters Janet MacDonald and Suzanne Haines tried to cover the story, the note sender called the TV station and threatened to blow the building up if the story wasn't aired. This mystery person seemed to have a vendetta against Janet, because he called for her and threatened her.
The caller made good on his threats of bloodshed when he broke into WBRE, slashed Suzanne's throat, chopped off her hair, and placed a Barbie doll on her stomach, its hair also cut. Police lieutenant Russell Gault, along with officers Wade Atherton and Sheila Tandy, frantically searched for clues, but then the killer struck again, this time claiming Sheila as the lastest victim.
Devastated but undeterred, Russell and new partner Sgt. Keith Oakley carried on. They got a major lead when they traced the Barbie dolls to a local toy shop and the owner said it wasn't a man that bought the dolls used in the slayings, but a blonde woman. The two cops immediately suspected Janet, and as they looked for her, the killer found a third victim in WBRE anchorwoman Eliza Braxton. But in a struggle with the killer, Eliza discovered the killer was none other than Wade Atherton!
Now it's been revealed Wade is getting revenge on Janet by trying to frame her for the murders by dressing up as her. Wade blamed Janet, who is really his sister Julianna, for their father's death more than twenty years ago. Wade attempted to kill Loretta Sherwood, but she survived and named Wade as his attacker in front of her daughter Tess and son-in-law Paul. While searching at Loretta's house, Keith found Wade's ring that his father gave to him. When he showed it to Russell, he realized Wade was the killer. Janet/Julianna also knows he's the killer too. Now he's on the loose again, and will he be stopped before he kills again?
